The Astronomy Section of La Société
Just turn up — no need to contact anyone first.
The Astronomy Section of La Société meets every Tuesday evening at its observatory in St Pierre du Bois. Visitors are welcome to come along before deciding on membership. Talks and discussions are seated indoors with tea and coffee; observing is outdoors or in the observatory with the roof open, so bring layers, a hat and gloves. A digital eyepiece can show the telescope view on screen for anyone who prefers to stay in the meeting room. Members also help run open events, group visits and telescope training. Groups must book ahead.

Astronomy Section membership £15 a year, plus membership of La Société Guernesiaise. Voluntary donation appreciated from non-members visiting.
